Ceramic Birds with Sara

Service Description

Tuesday 17 May 10:30 am - 12:30 pm During this workshop with ceramicist Sara Wood, you will hand sculpt your bird using white earthenware clay and the ancient technique of pinch pottery. The wings will then be textured using a variety of different vintage fabrics to give it a beautiful decorative feel. You will then glaze your bird using a colour of your choice. The finished pieces will be taken away, dried, then fired and returned to the gallery a few weeks later for you to collect. For an additional £5 your ceramic bird can be mounted on wood which can be decided on the day of the workshop. Should you have any questions regarding our workshops, please get in touch.
